The company are formed on a project by project basis and we produce approximately three major productions each year. We work with professional directors, writers, designers & choreographers and perform in professional theatre venues throughout Sussex and beyond. WSCYT have performed at all the major venues in the county, toured within the UK and to Europe, performed at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and been selected to perform at the National Student Drama Festival in Scarborough on two occasions.

Recent successes include A Servant to Two Masters, Henry V, A Respectable Wedding and Songs For A New World.

The company is selected by audition for each production. They are aged between 15 and 25 and live in or are educated in West Sussex.

The company is based at The Drama Annex at NEAPC in Crawley where there is a store for set, lighting and costume. Rehearsals take place throughout the county depending on the venue for the performance and they are generally on Sundays and during school holidays and half terms. There are plans for the WSCYT to move venue but it is hoped that this will still be in the Crawley region and close to public transport.
